Starting Issue ...expy 2000
I own a 2000 Expedition 4.6 with 120,000 with a strange engine problem. I'll go for a short drive (maybe 10 miles) run into the store for about 10 minutes and hop back into the Expedition and it will not start. The engine cranks(new battery and alternator), but it wont start. I’ll wait about 30 minutes, and then it will fire up with no problems. I have taken it to the dealership to have the fuel pressure test but no issues where found. There is no pattern to this problem other than Its seems when I wait, I keeping thinking the engine cools down enough for it to start. Once in a while, the engine acts like its starving for fuel. No Check engine lights for this issue, I replace all of the plugs and coils, IAC and cleaned out the MAF sensor. Any ideas? This usually happens on hot days (above 90)
