So, I'm changing my tranny fluid in the ol 4r100 and decide to throw in the bully dog shift kit also. I added the redline synthetic fluid because I am a redline fan and they stock it locally. Has anybody else done this upgrade? I really notice the shift firmness but I am wondering if actually holds alot better since I do not notice a difference there. Fuel mileage went up about 2miles per gallon but I also added a truespeed calibrator. I don't know which upgrade worked the best since I did them all at the same time. P.S. this is actual mpg not just reading the trip monitor.
I noticed a similar increase when I did my factory tech valve body and the latest version of Sniper's software and Royal Purple.
Which kit did you do, they had two when I was looking? One was a modified accumulator like I did and another was just a set of valves for the side of the accumulator.
The kit was pretty simple, 3 springs and some sort of small valve all in the valve body closest to the engine. I didn't even think to look around at factory tech. I think next time I'll ask and then buy.
Just looked up factory tech and it looked like the kit is similar to the bully dog just a little better quality and already installed in the valve body.

To do the job, it really requires a little finessing on the accumulator. Some of the holes should be enlarged to get the extra fluid through without increasing pressure. There are some other parts that are included in the FTVB, but you are fine with what you have.
