another bloody newbie

Hello I’m a newbie to this forum, but I belong to other forums so I know how annoying a bunch of questions that are either ‘simple’ or have already been talked about can be, so please humor me.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

I want a truck that has manual everything [steering, brakes, etc…] so I thought a sixth gen ford truck would work, how common are these?

<o></o>

Also would like to find out some specs like final drive ratio, curb weight, etc… where would be a good place to find these

<o></o>

Also I do not know much about 4 wheel vehicles so be gentle thanks

Welcome to the site:

Maybe Get bandaged up and come back and ask specific questions in separate threads.

Your final drive ratio is what your rear axle is.

Ps:
Just type the words in the FTE message box so all that MSword or Word Perfect code doesn't show up and ruin the text from typing with a computer program.

My 77 2wd F250 supercab with 460 wieghs around 2400 kg's with a full tank of gas, myself and a couple tools. I guess that's about 5300 lbs.

Also, put your location into your profile. Location matters more than most people think.

there is some reading material at

I have this page for users that need info so they can look up some of it themselves.

A lot of this content relates to the 77 as well.

The range was from around 2.75 to 4.11, and there were dozens of possibiliites. If you have the information from a rating plate from the drivers door, that will give you enough information to figure out what the truck had when it was new. A lot of these trucks have been modified and that rating plate is not always correct.
Also, if you are looking for non-power steering and brakes, I don't know which models would have that, as both of my 77's have power brakes and steering.
