New Source for Boxing Plates
I just picked up my boxing plates for my '57. 7 ga that go from the front cross member back 36" (to near the cab mount area).
$42.05 for 2 laser cut plates, real good price. Within 15 minutes I had them home and one tacked into place. The fit needed a little triming here and there, but they would probably work in most '57-60 frames with very minor trimming.
We are going to get back together and he will make changes per my recommendations and give these a part number within their system. You will be able to buy direct from the manufacturer.

First piece I have had them make for me and I'm very happy. They seemed interested in the project, asked questions and were interested in the market out there. Willing to do one off pieces. I walked in at 9:00 yesterday morning with a cardboard template and picked up my pieces this morning.
Thought it was worth plugging a good source of parts out there.

Most any welding/steel fabrication shop will make boxing plates. Even in my small town I took the cardboard templates for my 48 to the one and only local shop and they cut them for me in one day...total cost a hair over $20. Sure beats cutting them yourself!
