tranny question
guy's 'n' gals , got a hopefully simple question . i have the warner t-87 lightduty 3 speed { as far as i can distinguish } behind my flatty . ok i've found two possible donors here and another member has one but two of them are behind y - blocks the other truck another 53 i have no idea what was in it . the questio is are the three speeds in the y - blocks the same ? i had read here on the forum somewhere that the trannies for the flatties are diff in some way but just cant recall , old age you know . i figure i'll ask the experts before i buy anything regardless of price then have something laying around here thats unusable .
p.s. according to the book at the local napa it's also showing this tranny as a one year only deal which seems fairly unlikely but ,,,,,,,,
