Driving down the road the other day and my truck(F-150 supercrew) went into failsafe mode which shut down the engine. The truck status info read "oil pressure low". The truck was 2 quarts low. I filled it back up and the engine started up and gave me a "oil pressure ok" status but an engine emmissions light came on and did not clear even after an oil and filter change. Ford dealer says it's the throttle body that is sticking and will replace for $505.00. Bad part is warranty went out 4000 miles back. Just wondering if anyone had similar problems?
Your throttle body should be covered under a warranty that is federally mandated for all parts on the engine that have anything to do with emissions control. It has nothing to do with the factory warranty.
