Stan's Headers

About a year ago I bought a set of Stan's headers for a project 75 F250, 390. I had explained at the time of purchase I would be using edel 6006 heads. When I received the headers I checked the gaskets to the heads and to the headers and all appeared fine. Well finally I am getting close to assembleing the engine and I discovered the header ports are about a quarter inch too low. I had read about this problem on this site, and thought I had discussed this at length with Stan's. Any way to make long story short I called Stan's and explained my dilema. I took the heads and headers to Stan's and he is going to give me a new set with the correct CJ flanges. He is doing this without additional charge. I was so impressed with his attitude and service, I bought another set of headers for another 390 project. It is not often you run into a business that cares about the customer to this extent. So for those of you who don't know make sure that when you buy headers for the edelbrock heads they have flanges for the CJ style.
I wonder if hotrod dealt with this in their 390 rebuild?
