Found a truck. Checked it out. And took it home with me.
needs some work as always.
need tailgate, body panels for bed, and the steering is pretty loose.
this is what my wife wants
I've seen trucks like this before....(specifically the front drive line) is that what one would call a "divorced" transfer case, beings how the frong drive line is like a mile long. lol...mine is about half that size.
Yes thats a divorced transfer case. THey came in the 73-77.5 4wd F-250s. These are what they call highboys. From 77.5 on the transfers were married to the tranny such as you have.
75 f250 with a 77 f-100 body, Its got a 360 into a np205 tc, runs and drives very strong, it has the normal rust on the cab corners and rear wheel wells, floorboards were previously replaced, paint is.....ok, kinda a hack job with a lot of overspray. and the steering is horribly sloppy. should be a lot more road worthy than my other truck though.
Looks like someone must have welded up the bed fuel door(s) since the body came from an F-100. Even the original beds for a highboy had a bed knockout for a fuel filler.
