buy whatever filters are on sale at your local parts stores, several at a time, they usually have oil and filters on sale together
use the FL1A Purolator 3001 or equivalent in Wix, Champion, Baldwin, Hastings, Bosch or Wal Mart Super Techs.
stay away from most of the bottom line off brand store label cheap imports and the cheap line of Frams. the top line Frams are good but overpriced.
move the starter cable on the 3L and use the FL1A size on both rigs

do you have access to Bosch filters
they make a top replacement for the FL1A w silicone ADBV and bottom bypass valve. good fine media, good flow rate for that race engine
GM filters made by Fram=questionable quality in paper end caps

GM in Europe uses bosch filters. Ford uses Bosch filters too. A half of electric components in European ford by Bosch (Siemens/VDO... one company).....
What is the most intetresting, ford Russia and Ford USA have all suspention parts made of steel, but for Europe they use alluminium cotroll arms and other components.
As result if U have bad b-joint U have to replace all the control arm.
