A few years ago I replace my passenger side door weather-stripping and used new ones from LMC. As I recall it was not a very pleasant experience. I don’t know if I received a bad set of parts or if the ones from LMC are not that good, but they did not go on very good and do not seal much better than what I had on it before.
I also need to replace the doors again since my driver side is now wore out and redo my passenger side along with all my windows. I have been thinking of using parts from Dennis Carpenter instead. Do any of you have any experience with their parts or can you recommend some better ones? I don’t like to redo stuff so I want to get some good pats to start with even if I have to spend a little more money up front.
Have used most, if not all, of the Ford parts suppliers and usually not disappointed. I try and support those who sponsor FTE. That being said, I have found Dennis Carpenter's weatherstrip kits very good quality. Replaced all the rubber and weatherstrip on 65 with Dennis Carpenter kits and very please. Not familiar w/ LMC kits, found D.C. formed to fit. Used the weatherstrip sealant. Also, if you go online to their weatherstrip section there is an article on installation. The installation instructions is also in their catalog, if decide to order anything from them make sure they include the catalog free.

This is the one consistent gripe (and only one) with LMC. Their door weatherstrips simply do not work. You need ones from Dennis Carpenter, which are also sold through Carolina Classics and I believe MAC's.
