Ive got a 99 f350 with a stakebody which has an elctric dump on it. Today when I was lowering it, hydraulic fluid blew out of the top of the resevoir tank where the filler cap was, and I was wondering if this is an indication of a problem of a freak thing. any help would be appreciated.
After I cleaned up all tre tranny fluid and put the cap back on and all is well but I wasnt sure if there was something I could check. The truck has barely been used so it dont get much use.
the wierd thing is it never did this before. just this one time. However I did notice my father holding down the button to raise the bed past the point and which it was at the hightest point. You think this might have cause it to do this?
it don't take a lot to get air mixed in then oil foams and expands, when trying to go passed limits the pump will cavitate and foam oil thus expanding it
