But for some reason I've got this sneaking suspicion that during my Minneapolis Minnesota to Orlando Florida (and back) drive in Sept that something just might…
I’ve read a bit on this forum about Brian’s Truck Service (BTS) rebuilds as well as Factory Tech’s. FT has loads of specifics on there site while BTS has very little. FT comes in right around $3800 w/ 18 month warranty (P&L) while BTS is $3900 w/ 2 year warranty (parts only?).
I’m wondering if any of you have specific experience with either of these options, or can recommend something else. I really want to have all of my ducks in a row so that if something does go wrong the research is already done, and the call amounts to “Do it! Here’s the shipping address.’
BTS has an excellent rep, but I'll be going with a John Wood tranny in a few months. Basically because he's in my state (although he's still over 8 hours away), and because he machines a lot of the parts himself in his shop.
Give him a call and pick his brain. He's a good man.
It's just another option for you since you didn't mention JW in your post.
