Replacing 4.2 with 3.8

Replacing 4.2 with 3.8
Hello everybody, I need to know if I will have any problems replacing the 4.2 engine in my 97 F-150 with automatic trans with a 3.8 out of a 2000 mustang with a 5 speed stick. I will be changing intake manifolds but I am wondering if i will be able to use the the flywheel off from my 4.2 If not what flywheel will I need to get? Thanks for any and all help JIM

I'm in the process of researching a similar swap using a taurus motor. I'm going the other way, standard trans in the truck, auto in the taurus. I found another post saying the flywheel had to match the motor. I dont know if I believe it. Im just gonna go ahead and try to swap flywheels. Ill let you know if it works out.
