i have a 90 f 250 7.3 that starts fine when thew weather is cool but when it gets hot out side it wont start i checked the glow plugs every thing works fine i even pluged it in still wouldnt start i dont know what else to check any help thanks
you might look at your electrical connections from battery to battery, voltage regulator, anywhere there's a plastic connector. you may be having something that's got a little bit of break in the connection that's separating when it gets hot. other than that, i'm not sure why it would start cold and not hot. i'm sure there's some more wisdom than i've got to offer here.
hows the cranking speed, heat can kill batteries.......
pump could be going bad, they can become heat soaked and not work toward the end of there life. try poaring some cold water on it next time and see if it fires off then. you shouldent even need the glow plugs if it is good and warm out.
