stacks on a pickup truck, gas or diesel look pretty tacky and lame IMO

Agreed. To each their own. I personally laugh every time I see them on a pickup and wonder why.

yep i see stacks on this 1/2 ton dodge and i laugh, and when i see them on diesel pickups i also laugh because its just flat out red neck

Yes I second that,a smoke stack on a pick-up are very Redneck, especialy dual stacks. "Cause you have to haul that hay real fast Bubba!!" On a gaser there just plain stupid. I use pick-ups to haul things, plow or go hunting period. If I am not using the bed I don't drive the truck, I drive my car. The car is better on that expensive gas, handles the twisties better, and is quiet inside. Just my take, sorry.

Not to mention that when anything gets against the stacks it melts to them. I have a friend that likes stacks. He even had a set on a ranger. Of course it had a 400 horse 302 in it. And he is the biggest redneck that I know.

I think that is why they have the metal grate around them to protect stuff from burning when it touches them
