Cai Woes!!!!!

I dont understand why but ever sence I installed my CAI about 5 months ago, I keep getting lean codes. I thought my programmer would fix it but im still running to lean even after the tune is installed. It used to come on about every 150 miles but now it comes on every 10 miles. I took the cai off and no code yet so im assuming that was the problem. I tried a little troubleshooting and took the filter off while the engine was running and there was no change. the engine ran the same and my mass airflow voltage remianed the same. Im hoping someone out there can tell me that my filter is a piece of junk and its allowing to much air to flow. Its a no name brand so im kind of kicking myself for installing it in the first place. And yes I lost a noticible amount of low end torque and throttle response going back to the stock intake but i dont want to risk alot of damage runnning lean. but i do want that throttle back

its a no name brand. i got it on ebay for80 bucks. all the ductwork, heatshield, clamps are the same as others ive seen like the brute force intake. its kind of like somebody built it but doesnt have the marketing like k&n or airraid so they sell it on ebay. i think its a pretty good product except for the filter that came with it
