When???

I dont know what the truck is called but Scott Vorhee's or how ever you spell it owns a "new" truck with a ford body and cummins engine. IIRC he now runs in the mod class.

Talking about the v8 detroit mack cat and v8 cummins v12 detroits were all came in trucks cat and mack were only ones that had the torque as the i6 detroits were 2cycle got their power from rpms 903 cummins had more cubes than 855 I6 but didn't get there power anywhere. v12 cats never came in a road truck too heavy but is awsome motor.

We got some of the V12 Cats in long haul Kenworth's. (i.e. Road train tractors)

You are right though, awesome motors.

could you put a 3208 cat in a ford? if you did it would be a heck of a pulling truck if you could keep the drive train in one piece

I went to a podunky truck pull here in WV over the summer, there were lots of Dodges and Fords pulling, no Chevies.

Ford guys did pretty good. Saw one guy in a 24V dodge that dynoed at 600+ hp and 1200 ft lbs (street truck) and he didn't do very well at all.

Saw another guy in a cummins that stayed in it so long he blew something out, his truck was dumping coolant all over the place.

yeah 600hp and 1200 ft lbs isn't much or a cummins.... and was he running street tires?? cause if so then that's definitely why he did bad haha not just about power

Well they were baja claws or something like that, they were some kind of off road tire as the truck was lifted a little.
