nope didnt let her win , and christopher i've always been able to outrun my wifes rides including a mustang gt vert . now im beaten by a 4 cylinder , oh the disgrace 
. oh well mines still cooler ! p.s i beat the gt with a70 bird packin a 429 c.j. with a 2.37 rear gear not bessie ! and yep maybe i got's a use for them there flatties sittin' off to the side now , hmmmm..... but no seriously i found it pretty freakin' hilarious that she did . i knew she would bessie sounds cool but she's not a rocket ship by no means .

better idea havi i'll put flame throwers on it so she'll stay back and be afraid to come close !! not she's worse than i am plus she's gettin even for all the other times i " toyed " with her and her cars and all the snide remarks about the p.t. oh well . im still smilin' .

I have a 4 cylinder Jeep Wrangler the only thing not passing me unless I want it to is a loaded semi truck.

Oh man.....that is just not right. I think this calls for drastic measures. You need to start ordering catalogs and parts.
This is the excuse you've been looking for to build one sweet, hot, flat motor. The wifey will have some sympathy on you and overlook some of the wild charges in the checkbook.
Just a note, my wifey can't outrun me. Her daily driver is a 65 Falcon with the little 170 six which is just no mach for my Caddy powered 49...........woohooo

i got two what use to be 360's now i've got the cranks etc. to turn 'em into 390's but i like my flatty .she may have won the battle but i will win the war !! besides who's is worth more ? and our old fords have more metal , class and style in one fender than any new car . it dont bother me as i am a devious fakir and i do have a couple of extra flatties the two bb's a 302 and a 351 w layin around so ya never know !!!! it's funny cause the only thing the new cars can beat up on is a flatty thats 54 years old with a gadzillion miles on it . now if i could talk norm out of my ol' 429 c.j. from my 70 { and it aint stock } welll..........
