First problem in 53,000 miles

My 2004 6.0 X with 53,000 miles started to drone loudly (really loud) at 1,500-2,000 RPM I'm going in for Service for TSB 05-19-12 anyone else had this done and was the outcome good? New brace for the turbo.

sad to say the "cream puff" we bought at 14,000 mi ( a '05 Limited 4wd) has been nothing but trouble.

However, each time we go into the Ford dealer for warranty work, they are very helpful, obviously know what they are doing.

ist thing we noticed, as we began to understand the gagets, is that the rear air cond. never worked - seems at manufacture, someone drove a sheet metal screw thru an un-fused circuit that melted the internals of the rear air controller. Probably happened before the car was even sold new !

radio worked poorly on AM - another bad assembly job at the factory - antenna "lead" was pierced by a sharp screw.

I have already discussed the transmission failure - they forgot to put hose clamps on the trans. oil cooler line - first time we tried a heavy pull, line blew off, destroying the transmission. EX had to be flat-bedded back to the dealer - neighbor's truck recovered my trailer.

Just now, was preparing to leave on a boat trip - windows wont operate. No power at the "601" breaker's "hot" side (when I "jump" around it tofeed power directly to that circuit, windows work fine.)

So, back to the dealer for another warranty claim. I used to be a GM man, till I got so sick of the miserable built-quality of GMC trucks ( last one I had was a 2000 65000 series - it was a mis-match of poor quality foreign parts, and was a wiring nightmare too. Have to admit, Ford wiring panel IS superior - at least things are laid out and the manual tells you where and which is what. Ha - the breaker that controls the windows "Made In Dominican Republic" (no...nothing wrong with it - again, no continuity from that breaker's "hot" side to power.
