BasslinkII Sub location decision...
The question isn't "DOES it fit?", but "WHERE is the best place I can make it fit??" Has anyone here ever installed an Infinity BassLink II in these trucks, without having to give up the use of the rear seat? I don't mind a little modification if needed, as long as I can still have the rear.
ANY suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanx.

I had a regular basslink in my 99 F350 Standard cab and got it to fit by moving the seats up one notch. I now own a 2006 F350 CrewCab and have sold the basslink to a friend for use in his truck. @ 9 3/4" thick w/o mounting hardware it just wasn't worth the mods I would have had to do to get it in. Alpine makes a PLT-5 unit(very nice). Infinity makes a Basslink T designed for pickup trucks, or you can look to standard truck box subs with seperate amps. (I have been seeing that a lot in crew cabs) - One thing that did interest me was JL Audio stealthbox - retrofits the center console on my truck(which is way to big inside anyway-IMHO) It is easy to tuck a 500w mono amp somewhere. In my opinion this was the cleanest solution but definitely not the cheapest. Let me know what you decide - just thought I would give you my thoughts as this is the first truck I have not wanted to cut and modify as far as stereo equipment is concerned.
As far a my truck goes I have everything planned out but am still undecided on the sub solution. I will be installing a Alpine IVA-w205, 2 alpine 7" screens (1 in each headrest) backup camera, and sub. - just pulling everything together on my shopping list first. I have already replaced all the stock speakers with Infinity Kappa 6.5" - I will post some pics once I decide on a sub and the install is complete.
Looks like I'll have to look at the Basslink T a bit more closely.....and appearantly, I now have a brand new Basslink II that will be on eBay soon!!
Thanx again...and if anyone needs a 250 watt Basslink II subwoofer, hit me up!!
