E4OD to AOD

E4OD to AOD
I have a 92 Ford F250 2wd reg cab, long box with 5.0L and a blown E4OD and I'm swaping in a AOD. Before I do that I just want to make sure of some things. FIrst, will I be able to reuse the stock tranny crossmember for the AOD? When I was under the truck there are 2 postions for the crossmember. Second, do I use the AOD with the 11.25" tailstock or the 10.25" tailstock? Third, will the yoke from the e4od fit into the aod?

Im not sure of the mounting but just a word of advice. Use a 92 or 93 AOD if you can find one. Those two years were the beefed up AOD and will be a little stronger than the others. If you already found one thats not a 92 or 93 im sure it will work just fine still. If you can find someone with an AOD in their truck you could look under and take some measurements to see if you can use your stock crossmember.
