4.2 to 3.8

hey yall i have a 1997 ford F150 with a 4.2 V6. I was looking for some information on doing an engine swap for a 4.2 to a 3.8 I heard from a local machanic that it was possible to swap a 4.2 to a 1997 3.8 mustang motor please respond if you have any answers or suggestions

3.8 bored and stroked = 4.2

so is there anything i have to switch out if i put the 3.8 in replace of my existing 4.2

As far as the block, I would say nothing. accessories, probably all. But you should know, if you were concerned about lack of power before, it will be by far worse.
