check engine light is on
my check engine light is on and theres black or grayish smole coming out of the exhaust and my engine is running rich whenever i step on the gas it does'nt seem like it is sending any gas too the engine so i have to slowly step on it too get it going please help!

If your check engine light is on an you have a driveability issue then reading the codes sure would be a good first step. The check engine light being on tells you that one or more hard codes have been set.
