Disk conversion
I'm doing a front disk conversion on my 1972 Bronco. I bought new axles, the 4340 1 3/16's u-joints and I replaced the ball joints. After installing the spindles and disk backing plate the knuckles were binding and I could not rotate the axle. The spindles are new and I used new spindle/outer axle seal and spacer. I tried it with out the spindle/outer seal and spacer, but it was still binding but not as bad. The new axles are being pushed tight against the axle housing. Also the two groves in the outer axle are not visible from the end of the spindle. HELP

I took out the pressed in seal from behind the spindle and keep the seal that goes over the slinger, plastic spacer and the smaller seal that fits against the rear needle bearing of the spindle. It worked fine after that.
