Hello
I have a 2000 X 7.3 I am new to the forum. How can I tell if I have a performance chip installed. I asked a Ford tech and he told me that he was only at Ford for four months but that if I took off the kick panel behind the parking brake lever I would see the socket. If it was empty I had no chip. If there was anything in there then one was installed.
Someone else advised me that they all have chips and I must get the number to Ford to find out the type.
Appreciate the help.
