I just got off the phone with FORD.I gave them my VIN and they ran an "oasis" on my truck; seems the previous owner followed up on all the recalls;EVEN THE TIMING COVER RECALL!!!!!!!! When i heard that i was happier then a pig in s***!!!!!They even told me the date they did it,April 1999! Now i can sleep at night knowing i have a safe 4.2.....for now anyway!!!!!Heres the number for those intrested;1-800-392-3673 Give them your VIN and tell them to run an "oasis" on your truck!!!Good luck!!!Oh,by the way, after further review of looking at my timing cover,i think they used way too much RTV!!!!LOL!!!!!
So,what you are saying is,even tho the recall was done,it is going to leak again? I asked several FORD techs from several different dealerships and all they said was if it has not happened yet it probably wont.So tell me,have yall replaced the gaskets and have it fail down the road?I'm going to stay on this issue until either my engine fails or i sell it,which both are highly unlikely!!!
