I have a 99 v6 4x4, and although I had several mpg problems earlier on, for the most part, the truck has been good ever since. My truck has one interesting thing, the oil color dosent change hardly at all, I change my oil every 5000kms(3000 miles)and the oil level dosent go down and the color never changes, I have never had a vehicle like this, my old I6 used to use about a litre between changes and the oil used to be black in color. The question is, is this the sign of an engine that isnt working hard? or is it a bad thing? I have 55,000 kilometres and use only fords regular oil, not synthetic.
