engine swap

i have a 95 extendedcab f150 with automatic and 302 i whant to swap the motor out with my 88,302HO out of my wrecked mustang.the ho motor has an E303 camshaft in will there be any complacations with anything this motor was set up with a carb in the car i dont have the mustang induction .Im worried i might need to buy a computer chip to make this right . Anybody done this i would love some input

Is your '95 truck mass air? If so bolt the HO in there with the truck efi system on it and hang on!!

Not with mass air EFI, no. It will drop down to about 850 RPM or so and idle there. If that's too high or low, there is a small adjustment screw on the throttle body.

BTW, the cam in your engine isn't hot enough to confuse the older, speed density truck EFI so regardless what system you have, it will swap in fine.

You'll just have more "snap" and response from the mass air system.
