Head studs still a problem

Dealership determined that my Degas bottle pressure, overflow and low wining noise from the motor was the EGR valve and EGR cooler. They replaced both yesterday. I programed the truck to extream race tune on my SCT tuner in the parking lot on the way out and guess what, coolant all over the inside of my engine compartment. I am 99.9% sure it's the head stud problem.

I want to get it fixed outside the dealer because they will not let me supply the ARP bolts. I found only one shop that will do it and he said 6K. Forget it !!

I need someone to do the work for what most people say will cost $2,500 to $3,000. I am in NJ and need to locate someone ASAP. Anyone know a shop that will do it ?

I figure that the work will take a couple of days so If I travel more that 3 to 4 hours each way I will have to stay overnight and hang out for a while. Where are you located ?

matt is in north carolina. try a different dealership, some of them will do the headstuds for you.
and a good shop should not charge more than 2000-2500 for the labor.

Hendersonville NC is beautiful in the fall and it sounds closer to NJ every day....

All kidding aside, if you can make it down south to see Matt, you will not be disappointed. The surrounding areas of Asheville, the Pisgah National Forest, Great Smokie Mountains and Blue Ridge Mountains offer lots to do. Who knows, you might be like me and enjoy some time under the hood giving Matt a hand and learning a lot about the 6.0 in the process. Try that at a dealer!

Good luck man as I have been there w/ the same issues.
