Battery light on and off???
My battery light has been coming on and off for the last three months. I have had my alternator and both batteries checked. I have put about 6000 miles on it with no ill effects. Any ideas? thanks Alan

I might take a close look at the wiring on the alternator ....Make sure everything is clean & tight & there are no broken wires..The wire can bereak inside the insulation, it may look good , but only works part time
Lastly maybe get a second opinion on the alternator.....

There really is no pattern to the light coming on and off. I had the batteries checked again today and they were okay. I cleaned the posts and terminals. I will check the cables closely at both ends. Thanks Alan

If it does like mine did when it went out, it will start coming on more often, then start staying on longer at a time, then leave you stranded at work, ect. Took almost three weeks from the first time I noticed it, till it quit.
