new to site gots a few ?'s about my truck
ok here it goes i bought my 2000 f-250 7.3 PSD about nine months ago and started havin tons of problems such as busted driveshaft, two shot batteries, only one glow plug working, misfires, truck stumbling and dieing, multiple oil leaks, one from turbo pedestal, bad injectors, hpop crapin out, door locks dont work and o/d dont work. ok with that said i took out my junk chip the kid had in it and put a new hpop in it new cps sensor new o rings on for injectors and new valve cover gasket and some wiring. my truck now has again and idle that ranges between 500 rpms and 1200 rpms when im in park and last nite it killed again when it was cooling down. and it shudders and makes a weird noise when it revs up and boogs down at an idle.
any help work be nice thanx i kno this is a long post srry

Well it sounds like you had a bunch of unrelated problems all stemming from a kid with a junk chip not taking care of the truck. I'd start with the O'D issue before you bust the transmission. I've got a stick so I can't help you here, but do you still have the same 500 - 1200 idle range if you just shift into neutral instead of park?
Describe your shudders, weird noise when revved up, and boggin down at idle a little more so we can help. How many miles do you have on your truck?
I've got 230,000 miles on my 02 and the only problems we have had in common were the CPS and a wiring harness issue, so the good news is, once you get all this stuff fixed the truck should be fine.
Welcome to the site, and don't worry about the long post. More information is always better than not enough.

ok well i have 153,000 miles on the truck and i have a hypermax turbo and injectors. auto trans and suncoast torque converter, supposedly a ford test block, fast fuel, main studded, turbo ports shaved, heads shaved, ported and polished, new pistons and pushrods and a 5 in exhaust and gauges.
i think the boggin down has maybe something to do with not enough air and so the fuel is bouncin up and down.

First off you need to have custom tuning for the turbo and injectors (see Dp-tuner, Tony wildman, Cales tunes etc.) second due to the fluctuating idle it sounds like your IPR (injector pressure regulator)may be going bad, or if you dont have the supporting fuel mods, you could be starving the injectors. are the injectors stage 1, stage 2, or hybrids? The main thing is, have the truck live tuned to take advantage of your mods. the stock PCM will not control those injectors correctly.
The tranny may be fixed by having the tunes adjusted, or it may be something more involved.
Door locks can be fixed with a little wd-40 or alum foil, look here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/4...cks-fixed.html
hope this helps

What chip did you use to replace the junk one? If you are running single shot injectors with split shot programming that is the cause of your crazy idle....otherwise it would likely be an issue with the ICP (injection control pressure) sensor, or the IPR (injection pressure regulator) valve.

Might be able to help you with the O/D not working. I found the thread here on this site, but the issue is a broken wire. The wire harness tends to break within the steering column. It catches on the column and then when you shift it pulls on the harness and breaks it. The fix is very easy...pull the key assembly, remove cover on steering column behind steering wheel, solder wires back together, reassemble. As part of the fix, it is recommended to place heat shrink over the harness to prevent future breaks.
I'l look for that thread again but it really only took 15 minutes to fix. Sounds like you have bigger fish to fry though, but this is about all I can help with.
