Check Engine Light ON
Driving around today empty and noticed the check engine light on. You can see my mods in my sig. I was running Elites Tow-Power file. Truck seemed to be running fine. Called Elite, they asked if I was towing and if I have the EGR turned off. To my knowledge it is, but I also ordered the Tow file and ended up with the Tow-Power file, which I like, but hope it isn't too much for the truck when pulling. Any way I returned it to stock and checked for codes, nothing. Drove it to work (5miles) and no light, so I put the tune back in, 8 more miles no light. Elite said the EGR delete done with a tuner will throw some engine lights, with no codes??? We will see. Any other ideas? I spoke with Matt at Spartan (impressed), and am planning on doing the unlimited tunes with support when I get back from a 10 day drip in Sept. We are taking the truck, no trailer, so I hope this isn't something bad. Truck seems to be running fine, but was hoping to at least get a code. Thanks guys, and Matt for the info.
