06E17 and High Idle Mod
I can't seem to find the answer to this question anywhere after searching this forum: With the pto high idle mod engaged, does the 06E17 program still cycle the turbo and turn off the egr, or does this only happen at normal idle?

2003/04 Computer Programming Recall 06E17:
...bla, bla, bla... You should notice an increase in turbo cycling closed/whistling at idle and at stops. This is normal, and is to help keep the variable vanes from sticking.
My guess is the cycling does not occur at 1250 RPM. The turbo is working to some percentage at that point anyway. This is still just a deduction, not a fact.

I have had the 06E17 program update for about 8 months and the high idle mod for about 16 months. It has never cycled injectors or EGR when hi idle is in place. the 06E17 only cycles during start up before firing the engine after the glow plug array light goes off or after shut down. Maybe a programmer can give us the instructions sets to confirm this. I have used my hi idle quite a bit in cold weather and never heard it happen.
