Is the 1996 F150 and F250 basically the same body? How can I figure out if parts of a 9x could fit my 96.

Yes, F150s and F250s had the same body. Parts are interchangeable on 1992-96 trucks.

The only diff was interior parts seat cloth changed little and the 92-93 had cloth on door panels instead of vinyl. But its not biggie. And few wiring changes Ie 92-93 gauge cluster wont work in 94 -95 . None that effect fenders doors ETC from being used from one year to other.
