Pace-Edwards bed cover

Any body out there have one of their roll tops? I am looking at purchasing one, just wanted to see what everyones opnions were. I need a cover for the bed, but I don't want to be limited on height if I need to hall something. I also would like it to be locking.

I have had a PE Jackrabbit for 3 years and am generally happy with it. I have the old light cover that can only take 50 pounds on it. There is a new version with a much stronger cover that I would buy. I had to replace the rubber gasket where the cover meets the tailgate but that didn't cost much. The black paint is chipping and falling off in spots. At the car wash it leaks at the tailgate but it hasn't been much of a problem. If you have something you don't want to get wet move it further forward.
The pull strap always seems to get under the stuff you load. There is a motorized version that is much more convenient but it costs a lot more.

I recently got a retrax retractable bed cover that I had them custom cut to accomodate for my toolbox. It works great and I still can hook up my gooseneck trailers to it and you can stop it and lock it anywhere along the track if you need some funky size opening to accomodate something without having to open it too much. I can try to post pictures of it on here if you would want to see it. Hope this helps.

If you could posts some pix I would be greatly appreciative. I am still undecided on what I want, but it has to be retractable.

Thanks for the replies

Pixs of my bed cover are in my gallery. Bare in mind that the truck and the bed cover itself have already gotten dirty so don't hold that against it. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the pics. It looks good. I did a little research on the cover. I read that some people have had some scratches in it. Have you noticed anything like that or should you just treat it like an other painted item on your truck

I haven't noticed anything like that, I do treat it like any other painted surface on the truck, it washes really easy, it's just a hassle for me to wash the truck particularly in this heat and with construction going on right in front of my place not worth spending the 2 bucks on a do-it-yourself place til that get's taking care of(I do have a back way into my place, just have to deal with the gate which gets old quickly particularly in bad weather). It doesn't get in the way of my gooseneck which I particularly like and you can stop it anywhere along the track that you want to, not just where they have grooves to stop and lock it in place. Install was about 2 hrs(easy to follow direction always a plus) and it will take 2 people to get it up there. All in all I'm happy with it.

Retracting Truck Bed Cover

I think the entire Pace - Edwards line of tonneau covers are very nice. I can tell you the Jack Rabbit Full Metal seems to be the most popular these days. As for hauling, all of the retract up and lock. They do take up some space on the side of the bed but nothing that will hinder hauling a large item.

Here is a link showing the feature of them all. Good Luck with your decision.
