Yeah....I wish you sumbichz would send some of the wet stuff OUR way......Got about 30 min shower last night......and 15 min 2 nights before that......Meanwhile the lake levels are 3' under pond and area municipalities are starting mandatory restrictions......It's pretty sucky.
Trust me Jake, I know what youre talking about! I am just up the road on the good side of the border and its pretty bad when Hwy 50 gets shut down because the Fox is running so high. This rain sucks, pumping out my basement sucks, and workign in this crap really sucks. I just want a dry day so I am not a shriveled up prune after work...hahaha
Good luck down there in Cary.
Wow!.....Thanks, Jake!......We just had a nice little 30-minute downpour, and it's still coming down a little and maybe more to come!!!......'Preciate it!......
I'm gonna try that again........ahem......
"I wish you sumbichz would send some of the wet stuff OUR way"......
are you kiddin me? Jake you live in cary, wtf, and 78 stepside sounds as though you live somewhere between geneva and kenosha, sorry havent been on 50 in 3 years. you guys want some of the rain from my basement, ill fill the bed of my truck and deliver it to ya. i'll remember how close you are when i swap the body of my truck, and finish with the barbeque. i am sick of rain. needless to say once it stops raining there will be some serious yard engineering at my house. Dan
Man quit hogging all the rain. We are 20 inches below normal around here. Its all I can do just to keep my lawn alive this summer. Send us a few of those rains. I've about forgot what a rainy day looks like.
Hang in there!! Winters coming!! That wet stuff will freeze up and just lay on the ground come November time. Then all you have to do is shovel off the places you want to keep dry. Hardy Har har.
I think the rain has been scared off here. I think we are at a 17 inch deficit for the year.
You can have some of ours, we were way too low all summer, the corn is the worst I've ever seen, completely worthless. Then all of a sudden they got 15.xx inches in 24 hours not too far from here. And that was just one of many days with lots of rain in the last week.
Compared to last year when we had thunderstorms every day during summer, this year its been pretty sunny.
Did you have a black cloud over you in Oak Creek? I dont remember it storming too much last summer and since I work outside, I would remember having that time off.

I will complain all I want and I am not in Findley, we are getting hit just as bad here in my lovely little corner of WI. When the Wheatland FD cant put out a fire because they cant get their trucks within 2 blocks of the fire and they are using boats to move portable pumps to the scene, I think that is reason to complain. I drove past the tiny little creek that runs near my house and when it is usually 15' wide and maybe 2' deep and now its 50' wide and flooding everything, its not a good situation. We are getting hammered hard in the Midwest, and it doesnt help that we have a freak storm that rolls around once a century. Blah.
And Dusterdan, I am near Burlington, just upstream from the chaos in Kenosha County.
