Detroit Locker

I have a chance to pick up a 10.25 Sterling with a Detroit locker to replace the old Dana 61 in my truck. Does anybody have any opinions? I am looking for suggestions, the Dana 61 has to go.

P.S. Is a Detroit Locker and a Detroit TrueTrac the same thing?

I swapped out my crappy Ford LS for a Detroit locker in my 8.8" bronco when I went to 4.56 axles ... awesome for traction in any condition ... I am not sure if a Dl is the same as DTT ...

The locker is exactly that a full blown locker. It will link the axles together 1:1, and offer no slip.
The trutrac is a gear driven limited slip. It does not have clutches to wear but does have a limit to the amount of traction offered.
Did you not have a line on a 14b with a detroit?

The full-blown detroit locker is a lot stronger. The sterling 10.25" axle is also a lot stronger than a Dana 61.
