Dually Front End
Hey guys, i got an axle question.
My 65 F-350 2WD has those crazy 6 lug wheels, i'm sure you've heard of them, the two piece mankillers... I'm looking to do a swap and convert over to just single rear wheels. I can do anything i want with the rear end, but it's the front end giving me difficulties. The front axle is just a big solid I-Beam going across from hub to hub with 6 leaf springs on each side. Does anybody know of a hub swap i can do? My ideal setup is to have just regular 8 lug hubs up front. What parts vehicle should i look for to take hubs from? Is this hub swap possible, will things fit? Or should i keep my eyes open for a 70's dually F-350 and take that front end? What's the front axle setup in the 70's F-350's? is it the twin I-Beam or is it a single solid I-Beam like my own truck? Any front end help is appreciated, thanks guys
For all you other F-350/6 lug dually rims guys, this is going to be my way of getting away from the 6 lug setup
