Heater Core and A/C
I am 'restoring' a '77 F-150 right now and after tearing the carpet out, I discovered that the heater core leaks coolant into the cab. I talked to a couple people that have had this issue and they tell me to replace the Heater core. I figure that wont be too difficult after some of the stuff I have done to it. But my big question, is would it be possible to add and A/C system from a similar truck in a salvage yard to my truck? My truck has the dash panel vents, just no A/C. And around here, A/C is a very nice thing to have. What issues could I expect to run into? As far as the refrigerant goes, I work at an appliance store and can handle the old refrigerant with a dump tank.
I know I would have to replace the heater control panel as well.
Any suggestions would be grand.
