Fuel Pump Relay Location

I have a 1992 F150 4WD 4.9L with no signal to the fuel pump. I am thinking its the fuel pump relay. But where is the fuel pump relay located?

I'm not familiar with the I6 engine but I would assume that the relay is in the same place as the bigger guys, in the small relay box mounted on the driver fender well inside the engine compartment, next to your fuse box. There should be 2 relays in there, one is your EEC power relay and one is your fuel pump, I'm not sure which one is which on your truck, the owners manual should tell you for sure. Remove the relay and test it with the following procedure:

Apply +12v to 85 pin on relay and ground the 86 pin, you should hear the switch in the relay **click**, if not then your relay is fried; replace the relay, cheap part and easy fix.

Good luck!

relay 2 in power distribution box is the fuel relay.

could be 4 relays if you have trailer tow lamps.

also check fuel shutoff switch behind passenger kick panel.
