"DAM" Fine Picnic II & FTE Sports Party 2007!

--You did it last Spring! Can You Do It Again?--

Whattyalike?......Football? No? Well, how 'bout some football? If you're not into that I guess we could watch some football if you really wanna.

Unless someone brings a satellite dish (I've got the receiver) that's all we're gonna get on any one of three television sets we'll have set up at the:

Mansfield Dam Overlook Park
RR (FM) 620 between Round Rock and Bee Cave, TX
Saturday, October 20, 2007
10:30 am until 6:00 p.m.

We're also planning on serving up some tailgatin'grub this time...stuff like hot dogs, pork'n'beans, chips and all the fixins so......bring the family and your appetite!

You say you're not into college sports???? No problem-o! Come'on by anyway! We'd like to take a gander at your mug to put a face with a name dontchyaknow!

Of course we'll be serving up the usual fellowship, smiles, handshakes and a peek under the hood (or two or three). As those of you who attended the "DAM" Fine Picnic this past spring know.....this kind of event is what you make it. If you don't show - it doesn't happen. You showed the State -AND- the FTE nation how proud you and the Texas Chapter are of the finest truck on the road by your support and attendance last spring. Can you do it again? It's time Central Texas shows the rest of the state that last spring was not an accident.

---------------------------------------------------
In the News:

FTE Austin (PU): Rumor in the garage has it that something big is set to happen in mid-2008. Sources tell this reporter that organizers meeting in secret have devised a weekend of Ford Truck Enthusiast competition and family fun that will be the biggest thing since Noah broke an axle on his stock trailer! Inside informants claim they have seen plans for some sort of activity which are as big as a football field. Some say the plans include drawings of event venues with dealership and parts house names as well as food courts and kids' activity areas! Sponsors are on line and more are being added every day! Just what can it be we wonder? Some have indicated that hints of the 2008 FTE festival will be quietly (and tenatively) revealed at the next Central Texas FTE Picnic and Sports Party on Saturday, October 20th.

----------------------------------
At press time this morning the college football lineup for 10/20/07 looks like this:

UT at Baylor - Time TBA - KVET FM 100.7)

Texas A&M at Nebraska (KWNX 1260, Time TBA)

ALCS Game 6 (if necessary)

USC at Notre Dame (1430 - NBC)

Michigan State at Ohio State (1430 - ABC)

Pac-10 Game (TBA) (1430 - ABC)

Tennessee at Alabama (1430 - CBS)

-------------------------------------

So....Whatchyathink, Hmmmmmmm? Can we repeat last spring? Tell your FTE friends! Tell your Ford truck enthusiast neighbors!

Spread the word to the 254 counties and 1, 447 separately incorporated jurisdictions in the State!!......

CENTRAL TEXAS FTEs ARE GONNA DO IT AGAIN!!

------------------------
You do not need to live in the Central Texas area to attend!
Membership in the FTE forum is not required, but encouraged. Ownership of a Ford truck is not required (we may talk 'bout ya tho). If you've got a Ford truck - Bring It!

More info as time goes on...see ya! - and keep the shiny side up!
