Best Lift?

you want to run 35's with 9inches of lift? Thats going to look a little funny. I know you want to be taller than your buddy, but it won't make the truck any more capable. Most likely less capable on trails if thats what you do.
I'd rather be a little shorter than the other truck and have a more capable rig. Just something to consider.

like the kind they use out in the desert?
I don't know much about that kind of stuff, but over on fullsizebronco . com there is a whole section dedicated to high speed TTB setups. Your f150 uses the same ttb setup as a bronco so there should be plenty of information it there.

edit: if you're planning on running this thing at high speeds in the desert I would really consider losing the body lift.
