noise?

Check torsion bar down links and bushings. Jack the front end up and grab the tire at top and bottom and try to move it, if any movement at all , probably the ball joint. Is there any slop in the steering? Could also be a tie-rod end. Do a search on here, you'll find lots of reading on this subject. Hope this helps.

I would start by disconnecting your front sway bar links to try and isolate the noise. If still there w/sway bar disconnected, I would then look at the ball joints. I had upper and lower go bad on driver side at 27K mi. Right side upper and lower at 36K mi.
It could also be the front axle u-joints. Your hubs might be partially engaging. It wouldn't be the first time hub malfunctions stump even the seasoned mechanic on these trucks. I had a noise similar as you describe on turning, but only at full left or right .
good luck and keep us posted to what you find,
