I have $700 to spend on my truck and need some advice. The wants are AE, sound deadening (B-quiet or something), IC boots, Remote start system, overboost kit (might make my own now!). So what do you guys think I should get? or what have I missed?
AE = $350
B-quiet = ~$200
boots = ~$229 from dieselsite or $115 from DPP
remote start = $50 - $100
overboost = $50 or homemade at $20
AND I REALLY WANT A BIGGER TANK AT AROUND $750 FOR A 55GAL TANK!!!!
So you see it is a hard choice to make.......HELP!
those are good choices and good points, I checked with BOB and he does not have the IC boots for the 6.0 swap, so that knocks down $129 from the boots. I dont "really" need the 55gal tank but it would be nice.

Why? If your toting that much fuel your mileage goes down due to the extra weight, and if it is for range, then you need to be stopping after 300 miles and at least stretching your legs, bathroom, etc... I can only assume that you may boondock out there in the desert or something and possibly need it for that, but why not just 4, 5 gal fuel cans.
Tell you what send me the $750 for the tank, Ill send you 6, 5gal cans, and i'll put the rest of the money towards a BTS for me
LOL now that made me laugh.......good point on the mpg and weight deal. When I went to El Paso I did stop every 300mi to fuel and let the kids go to the bathroom and what not. OK so no tank, I could get the B-quiet for now and get the IC boots when he has them ready in 2-3mo
You can get some length of intercooler hose from somewhere like TruckPro or any 'big truck' parts supplier and make your own boots for a fraction of the price and you can customize the length. I made mine long enough to double-clamp.
I'm an advocate of the auxillary tank, considering the price of diesel fluctuates so much on the road. My fuel mileage doesn't change enough to notice the difference between carrying 135 gallons or 20. Not with 18,000 pounds back there, anyway.
