I am jealous of you guys that have them...When i bought my truck it had an exhaust system already on it and it is a custom deal... Dual 4' dumped in fron of the rear wheels, but i just love the look of stacks.... So where is the best place to get them and What size is typical or should i run with my mods....
idk where u can buy a kit the splits under the bed..then you have two wholes to drill, and will make your stacks shorts...
i went to a local exhaust dealers shop and they wanted to know where i wanted to y it off at... They can order anything, see i was thinkin that since i have trouble getting into places with my height now with 6-8 inches of stacks sticking out over the top i wouldnt be able to get into hardly anywhere, but if they were say only 2-4 inches up it wouldnt be so bad.. I would have to make 2 holes, but i also thought about putting the pipes in some sort of box maybe a diamond plate (home made) to protect for when i haul stuff, but i cant do that if I Y it under the truck
mine is y'd in the bed and I had ordered a plate the buts up to them the coveres the why, its made of diamond plate...so it hides it and mine are 36" tall and with the y sitting ontop of my rhino linning sprayed a 1/4 inch think is about 2-3 inches above the cab..looks good, barely see them fron the front but you still can, and with my 6.5 inch lift now and future 8.5 with 39's i can't have them any higher..but with the cover and the y in the bed it looks good...as soon as i find the cover im talking about i'll post the link
Yup, I can vouge (sp?) for that dood. That's where I got mine too. I spent weeks shoping around and for $490 shipped, can't go wrong. The 6" looks really well too and the kit comes with all the parts to do it yourself.
You can't Y it off in the bed, the fuel tank is in the way. The only possible application for that is when you would have the fuel tank aft-axle, but that is usually only on the chassis-cab trucks such as the 450s and 550s. I bought the Grand Rock kit as posted before, i have 6" miters and love them. No mufflers anything, and there is a teeny amount of drone. The 7" however give you three earfuls of drone.
