Yesteday I started my truck for the 1st time in 2 weeks. When I started vehicle I saw a few abnormal things (a few sequence type flashes, then TBC something or other). I know the TBC is a trailer brake controller warning.
Because of this I decided to activate the cluster diagnostic sequence. Before when I had done that I had 2 diag trouble codes, now I have 5. Truck and trailer brake run fine. No issues at all. Seems as if truck had brainfart! Left both batteries unhooked all night! They didn't clear, so that would lead me to believe they are backed up on the same eprom or whatever chip that includes the odo, eng. hrs, etc.
The codes are totally different than the obd-II codes most of us have. Does any one have a list of these codes. Thanks
Jeff

Not trying to be ignorant here but what is the "cluster diagnostic sequence"?
If you hold the setup and reset buttons down while starting you truck you instrument cluster will show you a variety of info for lamp checks, build data various data for your truck including diagnostic trouble codes. You can scroll through by hitting reset.

Thanks... That could be helpful in the future! Are there any other tricks on my truck like that one?
