Well we have all talked about the bbq in different parts of the states and I had a craving for some good fresh real seafood the other day and I realized.......we don't have a restaurant that can offer me what I want with out a good 45 minute ride! So I still haven't had my seafood and I'm not willing to settle for red lobster or joes.
What ya'll got to offer?
Spondivits is a 35 minute ride from me off of virginia ave, It's semi what I want.
well my girlfreind used to work for a place called STEAMHOUSE SEAFOODS here in Valdosta, ga, wich was super good and the price was awesome, but last saturday they closed for good! after the night was over the owner told everyone that that was there last night open! so...... cant go there now......
I guess I really didnt contribute to this new thread any
Just a little more south at Mayport........Singletons Seafood Shack was GREAT too. I had the oysters and scallops, and the h/m keylime pie was the best I'd had in a while.
Sliders was over looking the big pond and was great. Sinletons is a sure enough shack over looking the river in Mayport and the food was out of this world.
I can give several places around the coastal savannah area but I was hoping to find a place closer to home.
It sucks wayne we have to drive almost a day to get real ocean grub.
Sav. area- uncle bubbas, it really is that goood! Hueys, on river street, river st. seafood, decent shrimp.
There is a local famous restaurant around here that offers the absolute best surf and turf I've ever had......Franks family restaurant. I-85 ex. 56 on the west side of the hwy next to the marathon gas station. It looks terrible on the outside since it shares a building with the station but the people are great and the inside is nice. It's a true Italian rest. but they do the shrimp in this great sauce and scampi it, goes great with the bone in ribeye and steak fries.
