i have a 95 f-250 4x4 with a 7.3 gas(jasper motor with 600 miles)with a charging system problem.im getting severe alternator noise through my radio and 2 way radio.i have replaced the alternator and the ground wire from the battery to the block, the block to frame and the block to the chassis.i performed the following test on it so far.i disconnected the ground cable from the battery and put a light tester(snapon) between the terminal and the ground wire.any ground i touch makes the tester light up.i have pulled every fuse from the fuse panel inside and under the hood.no change.i disconnected the wires from the starter seloniod and touch them to the post one at a time till the light lit back up.then i reconnected it to the selonoid.i then went to the drivers side and disconnected the wiring harness from the body where it goes into the cab.the light went off.i plugged it back infrom there inside i disconnected the wiring harness from the column and the light stayed on.i then went to the passenger side and unplugged the abs module.light still on.anyone know where to look now?im hoping not to completely disassemble the dash.also the alternator was putting out constant 14 volts while running and the battery is fully charged and does not go dead overnight.voltage guage on dash when running runs right in the center of normal.local dealerships have no idea.
