250 revving??????????????
Hi all, new to the site but have been lurking for awhile. I need some help/suggestions in figuring out what's up with my truck. It's a '99 250 with the 6.8L when I'm up/down shifting (5 speed manual) as soon as I depress the clutch the engine revs up. This happens about 50-60% of the time.

I don't know if the '99 V10 has one, but your symptoms sound exaclty like what happened to me when the IAC (Idle Air Control) in my '93 4.9L w/ manual trans went out.
I'm sure others will be along soon to correct me.

I agree with rustyfuryiii. That sounds just like what happened with my '90 Bronco 5.0L with M5OD tranny. I got a new throttle assembly with the sensors and the problem went away. I assume it was the idle air control valve.
