Can someone tell me the type of coolant to use in my daughters 1997 F-150 with a 4.6? The radiators given up the ghost and it was pretty nasty stuff coming out of there. I think it's the green stuff, but was hoping to make sure.
I've used this site on several occasions before, and thought I'd sign up since I have two of them.
My heater core went out a few days ago and was leaking coolant. I put zerex 50/50 in it and said on the bottle it was compatiable with that truck. By the way the heater core is not fun to get to . It cost 585.00$ to get fixed.
Thanks guys for all your responses, I'll go ahead and use green.
Right after I posted up my daughter called and the family POS has a no start and had to be towed home. Once I put her truck back together I've got another project. O'well, at least it's not the dead of winter.
I'd tell you about it, but it's a GM product. I've always had Ford trucks and GM cars. My father in law was right about Fords. I'll never buy another GM, I'm cured!
